For the purpose o f im proving the local scene,
we are constantly engaged in research on labour law.
This means study o f new bills together w ith workers
and legal advisors, then making representations to the
authorities and through the mass media. O ur specific
co n tribu tions last year were in the areas of holiday
provisions, w o rkm en’s com pensation and severance
                 paym ent.

Labour evangelism and lay training to o k the form
o f w eekly fellow ship meetings and theological camps
fo r w orker Chirstians. There were also regular Gospel
camps fo r those interested in the C hristian faith . In
addition, we have been translating and testing a pro-
grammed-learning course on the Gospel according to
M atthew. It's especially designed fo r people no t ac-
customed to book-learning. This evangelistic and training
thrust has met w ith encouragement from m any church
leaders. Our experience of sharing in the worker's
struggle fo r justice and d ig n ity has provided us w ith
insight in to how the Christian fa ith is to be co m m u n i-
cated to the w orking class.
