Tw o study tours were conducted. They visited
India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Three m ore tours are
planned fo r 1977 going to Burm a, Thailand, and T a i-
wan. The purpose o f these tours is to gain new insights
in to the problems and op po rtu nitie s facing the Christian
Churches in these neighbouring countries, to under-
stand the suffering and hope o f the ir people.
A 150-delegate regional y o u th conference was
hosted fo r the Christian Conference o f Asia. It was held
May 14 through 23. A d d itio n a l days were spent in tra in -
ing stewards fo r the 6th Assem bly o f the CCA. As host,
the yo u th office con tribu te d nearly fo u r m onths o f
intensive preparation fo r this im p o rta n t event.
O ur Y o u th O ffice involvem ent w ith the In te r-
national C hristian Y o u th Exchange programme entered
its final year. Hong Kong sent fo u r yo u th leaders to
Japan, the Netherlands, Germ any and the U nited States.
We also received the same num ber fo r w o rk here in Hong
Kong.
Much discussion and reflection in the Y o u th Com -
m ittee has been focused on tw o issues: the fu tu re o f the
S tudent Christian M ovem ent in Hong Kong, and the
liturgical life fro m the yo u th 's p o in t o f view.
