writing this report, most of the churches had not reported their

collections. However we want to thank the Christian community for
          their favourable response and support.

We are planning to have such a fund raising campaign as an
annual event of the churches of Hong Kong. People need our support.
And we believe, that the churches of Hong Kong do care.

The following report tells the highlights of our Council's
various activities and programs through the Division of Mission, the

Division of Service and the Communications Department.

         VIETNAMESE REFUGEE MINISTRY

At the last Annual General Meeting, we announced the arrival

of over 4,000 refugees from South Vietnam in May and that the Hong

Christian ministers in the three refugee camps. In the process, we
witnessed tremendous concern in many Christian's churches in the
provision of care. Financial support came spontaneously from local
churches, and later from the Norwegian Church Relief which volunteered

it. The Government has shouldered the major responsibility of caring
         for the refugees.

The form of care was chiefly spiritual as physical needs were
taken care of by government. The services of the churches included
weekly workship services, distribution of Vietnamese Bibles, group

Bible studies and pastoral counselling. To our knowledge, a total
of 62 persons received Christian baptism.

Apart from religious activities, churches and Christian
agencies also provided small personal items such as medicine,
