Church. The Rev. Franklin Woo, Chaplain of Chunq Chi College,
Chinese University of Hong Kong, preached.
The English speaking Clergy and Ministers Group also sponsored
the Living World Service on Thursday 22nd. Participants at the
World Council of Churches' Fifth Assembly reflected on the Assembly
concerns and recommendations, especially their personal experience,
at the Service.
The Council appreciates the privilege of co-ordinating and
promoting the various activities during the Week of Prayer for
Christian Unity. Our Church Unity Committee must plan more
activities to bring together Christians of all traditions to
fellowship and worship in the one spirit of Jesus Christ the Lord.
”EDUCATION - FOR ALL OF LIFE”
"The Church, as one of the sources of education, is
responsible for injecting into society those values
which will lead to changes in the present day reality -
justice, human dignity and a fullness of life for all
people. No church member should live in such a way as
to deny these values. No church member should consciously
cooperate with structures which are contrary to them.
This will bring action and preaching closer together"
This challenge came from Christian women of Mexico who prepared
the content of the worship service for the international World Day
of Prayer for March 5, 1976. The theme this year was "Education
for all of life".
The Hong Kong Christian Council' World Day of Prayer Committee
s
prepared four services held at the Salisbury Road YMCA, The Catholic
Center, Chung Chi College and the Methodist Church, Gascoigne Road.
Introducing the theme were three drama presentations, namely;
The Reality of Poverty, The Reality of Relationships, and the
Reality of Repression. Participants at the services were sent out
to the society by praying together:
