W orking d ire ctly under the General Secretary's O ffice
and thus available to assist the to ta l programme o f the
Christian Council is the C om m unications Departm ent. It is
on call to produce displays and study materials.
The unglam orous, bu t im p o rta n t daily service o f the
departm ent is the film service. Hundreds o f borrowers turn
to this office fo r film s, film strip s, projectors, screens and
various audio visual supplies. There is seldom a tim e when
the tw o receptionists are n o t busy responding to requests
for help in the church’s programme in some lo ca lity. Tw enty
two new film and film s trip title s have been added to the
library in 1976/77.
