CONCLUSION
We are pleased w ith w hat we have achieved as a
fellow sh ip o f Christians in Hong Kong. In spite o f d ifficu ltie s,
we have been able to continue our forw a rd m ovem ent in the
co m m u n ity.
B ut we cannot be satisfied. There is more to do. We
in Hong Kong m ust continue to take part in the w o rk of
all Asian Churches. We m ust n o t allow ourselves to become
isolated in o u tlo o k or spirit. The fu n d raising w hich we
have done is on ly a beginning! We m ust do more. We must
w o rk to understand the rapid changing Asian situation, to
see our place in it and become involved. There is an increasing
need fo r evidence o f u n ity among the churches in Asia.
Hong Kong m ust n o t fa il to play its part in dem onstrating
this u n ity in Christ.
The Christians in Hong Kong have a privileged position
in Asia. We have the oppo rtu nitie s to speak, to be involved
in change, and to express and dem onstrate com m u nity
concerns. Let us visit and kno w more o f ou r neighboring
brothers and sisters in Christ, let us pray fo r them more
ofte n , let us invite guests to come and share th e ir Christian
m otivated insights and witness w ith us, let us fin d new and
im aginative ways o f giving ourselves and our resources to
the Christian and non-C hristian co m m u n ity o f Asia. Let us
fin d Jesus C hrist in the co n te xt o f Asian suffering and hope.
