issues and legislation and should speak up for the people

of Hong Kong. The churches should organise and function as
pressure groups to bring constructive changes in the society
Suggested current topics of concern: unemployment, tax

structure, government green and white papers etc.

Communicating our Faith

The Church should bring new programs to effectively
communicate our faith in the changing and non-Christian
society. This includes the continued discussion and

dialogue about the future of the church in Hong Kong,
strengthening the use of mass communications (T.V.,
Radio, Literature), evangelism, church growth and the

promotion of ecumenical spirit and action.

Meeting Un-met Social Needs

The church as social pioneer should be creative and
innovative in involving itself in social service. It

should be sensitive to and develope answers to the unmet
social needs of our community.

Education

There should be an evaluation of aims and purpose of:

1) Church involvement in education, and
2) Programs of existing Christian schools.

These emphases will also serve as working directions for the
Council in the years to come.
