            College Student Work Project (CSWP)

Inflation and the rise in cost of living has increased the need for
financial assistance by students in colleges and post-secondary

schools. The College Student Work Project by providing financial
assistance to needy college students, not only enables them to
meet a part of their financial needs, but also gets them involved

in providing services to other people. Each student receives
HK$200 a month. In turn he/she contributes eight hours of work a week

for other people. They are placed as tutors for school children
who are doing home work at church halls, librarians for children's
libraries, youth club leaders, clerical workers for welfare agencies,
etc. This is why we can say that every dollar used for this project

is used twice: for the students themselves and for the community.

Annually the CSWP supports 180 students. In addition to the sub-

stantial support received from the Refugee and Migration Unit and
the Sidney Gamble Memorial Fund. We would like to recognize
former CSWP students, Miss Chung Lick Lai, Mr. Fu Wing-Fuk and

Miss Cheung Chun-Ying, for their generous contribution of one
full CSWP scholarship and the Rotary Club of Kowloon North for
             its contributicn of HK$4,380,00.

             Christian Service Tours

The Tours, have been commended by many of the people who have
taken them. The Tours lead people to see the variety of
situations in which the people of Hong Koog live. During 1974

the Division extended the Tours to five days a week for a period
of two months in the summer. For this special period the Tour,
