BY-LAWS OF THE HONG KONG CHRISTIAN COUNCIL
Membership in the H.K .C.C. shall be composed in the following manner:
a . Each member church shall have representation in accordance with
their membership.
i . Churches with a membership up to l,500 members may appoint
two representatives to the General Council; .
ii. Churches with a membership of more than l,500 and up to
10,000 members may appoint six representatives plus one
representative for each additional 5 ,000 members up to a
maximum of twelve.
b. Each Christian agency which is a member of the Council may
appoint two representatives to the General Council meeting.
c. Individuals who accept the Constitution and may an annual
membership fee of $lOO may be affiliate racrabers of the HKCC .
This entitles them to attend the General Council Meeting, to
participate in the discussion, but without vote.
2. The annual membership dues for churches with under l,500 members
shall be $300, for churches with under 10,000 $500 and for churches
whose membership exceeds 10,000 $700.
The annual membership dues for Christian agencies shall be $300;
and the annual membership dues for individual affiliate membership
shall be $100.
These amounts may be altered from time to time subject to the approval
of the General Council.
The Annual meeting of the General Council shall be convened no later
than June each year with at least two weeks notice.
The duties of the Officers of the H.K.C.C. shall be as follows:
(a) The Chairman shall preside at meetings of the General Council
and of the Excecutive Committee. He shall also represent the
H.K.C.C. on official matters.
(b) The Vice-Chairmen shall assist the Chairman in fulfilling
his duties, and act officially in the absence of the Chairman.
(c) The Honorary Secretary shall keep full minutes of the meeting
of the General Council and the Executive Committee, provided that
the minutes shall be made available in both English and Chinese.
