The Council together with its auxiliary bodies
sent out relief fund for Biafra, Bangladesh and
Asia Christian Service. Now it attempts to

assume responsibility for an Asia Project in Sri
Lanka. This is something to be encouraged.

IV. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Council wish to express its hearty thanks to
all local church leaders for their active participation

and creative co-operation, especially their unceasing
support during the crisis of Christian Council.

We are grateful to members of the Committees, the
Executives and the staff, especially the Rev. R. L.

Turnipseed for his faithful service to the Council and
especially for his hard work when he took up the Acting
General Secretaryship during the critical period.

We are most grateful to the churches and mission

boards and many friends abroad for their constant
concern and financial support which made the work of
the Council possible.
