through the A.G.M. 1974 and to allow time to develop a
more permanent solution to the financial crisis.
Overseas donors were generous in their response also,
so that the 1973 budget is assured and the 1974 seems
also cared for.
As for personnel the Anglican Church at the request of
the Council agreed to second to Hong Kong Christian
Council on half-time basis the Rev. Alan Chan to be the
Acting General Secretary, effective from 1 January, 1973
to A.G.M., 1974.
In order that the Council could become more self-support-
ing in the future, certain explorations were initiated.
And from these has come a proposal to let out one floor.
This proposal is now becoming a reality and we hope that
by August when United Christian Hospital office has moved
out to Kwun Tong, the 5th floor of Christian Centre will
be available for renting.
