The EACC Youth Committee held its planning sessions in Hong
Kong during October 23-25, 1969. Rev. Matthew Fong, Rev. Peter
Kwong, Rev. Robert L. Turnipseed and Mr. C. Ngai were invited
to participate in the discussions. It was decided that the
EACC Youth Consultation on Development vail be held in Hong Kong
at the Morrison House during July 2-10, 1970 and it is anticipated
that 60 delegates and consultants from the EACC Countries and
other parts of the world will be participating in the Consultation.
Although the Youth Committee of the Council is unable to play
host to the forth coming Consultation, yet, assurance was given
that members of the Youth Committee and the staff of the Council
would give all possible assistance to the EACC Youth Committee.
It was also agreed to form a local arrangement committee
comprising of the Rev. Matthew Fong (Chairman), Rev. Peter Kwong,
Rev. Robert L. Turnipseed, Rev. Miss Lee Ching Chee and Mr.
Calvin Ngai and the Committee was given power to co-opt other
                 members if and when required.

                 Christian Centre Management Committee

The duties of the Committee are:

                      1. To arrange for monthly collection of maintenance fees
from constituent bodies using space in the Centre.

                      2. To arrange for payment of all charges for which the Centre
                           is responsible.

                      3. To arrange for a special ecumenical library fund.

To arrange for a long term plan for premium provision.

5 . To arrange for the investment of surplus funds.

                      6. To advise the Hong Kong Christian Council Executive
Committee concerning the supervision of the maintenance
                           care of the Centre.

We are pleased to report that during the year, an increasing
number of Christian groups have come to use the Christian Centre
facilities for holding a total of 384 meetings and several
consultations. The Ministers and Clergy's fellowship whose
members composed of both Roman Catholics and Protestants
continued to use the Centre's Conference Room for their regular
meetings. The Department of Extramural Studies of the Chinese
University of Hong Kong also used the Conference Rooms for
holding evening sessions. It is our hope that this Christian
Centre may continue to be a place of Christian witness and
service as well as a Centre of Christian nurture in international
                  and interdenominational relations.

                 World Day of Prayer Committee

The officers met in September 1969 to prepare the form of
service for the World Day of Prayer 1970. This year the Inter-
national Committee sent out material and suggestions but no
arranged service as in previous years. This was to allow each
area to plan its own service to meet local needs but still use
the basic theme and material and thus maintain unity of thought
                  and prayer.

Because of difficulties of printing in some areas, the
service for the whole of S. E. Asia had again to be prepared
and printed in Hong Kong. The translation and printing is
done by the C.C.L.O.C. We are grateful for this service.
