August 27 The Health Concern Committee met with OMELCO's sub-group on Health Affairs
to dicuss the W.D. Scott Report on the Delivery of Medical Services in Hospitals, and
submitted its opinions.
End of The Educational Concerns Committee issued a public statement jointly with other
August education groups on the executive order issued by the Educational Department
regarding the new measures for the allocation of secondary school places, and
demanded immediate shelving of the proposal.

A concern group, consisting chiefly of Icoal clergy and R.E. teachers, was formed
on the initiative of the staff of the Council, to monitor New Religious Movements and
their impact on the Church and society.
September The Commission on Public Policy joined the Action Group of Christians Concerned
5-6 with the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant in an overnight vigil at the CCC Shum Oi
Church.
September Mr. David Alton M.R, Chairman of the Liberal Party in Britain, visited the Council
10 and exchange views with the General Secretary.
September A seminar on the "Direction of Political Theology" was held.

September The Educational Concerns Committee published an article commenting on the
29-30 Educational Commission no.2 Report. It also joined the Joint Conference on the
Review of Nine-Year Free Education.
September The Council held its 32nd AGM at Kowloon Union Church.

October 6 The Commission on Public Policy submitted its opinions on the future political
system of Hong Kong to the OMELCO sub-group on Constitutional Affairs and later
called a press conference at the Legislative Council building. Copies of its opinions
were also submitted to the Basic Law Drafting Committee and the Basic Law
Consultative Committee.
October To publicize the Five Loaves and Two Fish Campaign, the HKCC and the Regional
10-16 Council jointly sponsored a series of photo exhibitions on famine in Africa.
