has inevitably created both supporters and critics. But
criticism shows concern and concern is precisely what makes
an organization such as the Council lively and vigorous.
However, we believe that programmes of the Council need the
support of every Christian and it is only as we remain open
to both God and man, that we can continue to be a useful
                servant of the churches.

Therefore, the challenge to the Christian Council seems
clear, to stimulate member bodies into action around spiritual,
moral or social issues and to coordinate these activities.
This involves the implementation of study and action groups
and the development of meaningful partnerships with other
regions. This challenge is to all the churches, it must be
taken up by all Christians. The move has started in Hong
Kong and the call in the 7 0 ’ s is to accelerate and transform
                this action.

II. SUGGESTION FOR SPECIAL SUNDAYS 1972

In order to encourage Christians to act together in
various areas of Christian concern, the Council has asked
all churches in Hong Kong to observe the following Special
                Sundays for 1972:

It is encouraging to report.that many churches have
                cooperated in this united effort.

III. FELLOWSHIP IN THE CHRISTIAN CENTRE

Throughout the year, half-hour chapel services are held
each Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:00 for all 66 staff
working in the Hong Kong Christian Centre. This gives
opportunities for fellowship, better understanding and a
closer working relationship among the workers. Often we
invited overseas visitors and local ministers to share their
spiritual experience with us. We also encouraged many of
our fellow workers to take charge of these devotions and we
are grateful for their contributions. During the year the.
Christian Centre Workers' Fellowship organized several
retreats to enrich the spiritual and recreational life of
                 the workers.
