                        (5) Considerations should be given to invite the chairman of
each auxiliary body to be a member of the Executive
Committee of the Hong Kong Christian Council.

                   B . Divisions and Committees

That Committee assignment within Divisions be revised as
follows: (See the attached Chart II)

Basically the major aim at this time is to strengthen the
image of the Christian Council and give it greater reality
and substance; and to unify further its programme and general
thrust. It is an attempt to move the Hong Kong Christian
Council toward more local involvement and leadership, local
fund raising and bi-lingual group meetings, etc.

If the Christian Council is going to be effective and have
an impact in Hong Kong, it should have a structure that provides
for sufficient unity, clarity of purpose, image and relation
to community along with the required flexibility and diversity
                        of work within the structure.

It is hoped that the new structure vail be adopted by the
Anrual General Meeting so that the officers and staff can
proceed to draft terms of reference for the committees in
consultation with each group concerned and to draft the
necessary changes in constitution and by-laws to be considered
at an Extraordinary Meeting of the Council.

on the findings of the Concerence. It is hoped that their reports

                   our churches and the community.
