tower was blown by a typhoon but repairs were quickly effected
                and testing was resumed.

Reception has been clear, not only in the Burma - Thailand
direction, but also in a more northerly direction including
Hong Kong and Japan. This has led to an advance in the schedule
for Chinese programming, with test broadcasts to be prepared by
Rev. Koger Domyahn of the Taiwan Audio-Visual Committee (TAVACO),
in cooperation with the Audio Visual Evangelism Committee. Test
will be made in August and evaluated in November.

Mr. Tom Tung, Director of this Committee has been asked to
head up research for China broadcasts.

SSARV/BURMA has now begun production in Bangkok, releasing Mr.
Harry Ng for full-time work with the Audio Visual Evangelism
                Committee.

local Radio: The Chinese Advisory Committee, in which the Audio
Visual Evangelism Committee participates, has initiated a series
of fifteen-minute programmes, "Lives of Great Christians” for broad-
cast over Radio Hong Kong. The Rev. Canon Lee Shiu Keung has taken
major responsibility for this series. Broadcasts are heard weekly
on Fridays at 3:00 p.m . The series commenced cn March 1st, 1968.
The Committee has provided studio facilities.

Filmstrip Catalogue; This year a new Filmstrip Catalogue has been
                issued.

Filmstrips: Two filmstrips were produced during the year: ”How
Persons Learn”, in cooperation with the Christian Education
Committee of the Hong Kong Christian Council; and "Why Did You
Save Me?”, a modern version of the Good Samaritan story, in co-
operation with the Lutheran World Federation Broadcasting Service.

Workshops: As a result a need revealed by a Lutheran Church survey
conducted by Roger Domyahn of Taiwan, Audio Visual Evangelism
Committee has undertaken a series of workshops. Three were held in
the autumn of 1967, with the general theme: ”What Is Visual Aids’?”
In the spring of 1968 two workshops have been held dealing with
"Flannelgraphs” and "Technical Aids”. A third will be conducted in
May on "Flat Pictures”. Plans are under way for a further series in
                the fall.
The use of films and filmstrips was somewhat decreased in 1967
                because of "the disturbances”.

                Appreciation:

The Audio Visual Evangelism Committee is grateful to the local
Churches and the Mission Boards which have given generous support to
                its  work and have  taken advantage  of its services and facilities;
and to its loyal staff for their dedicated service.
