1. Introduction:
Hong Kong Christian Industrial Committee (CIC) was established by the Hong Kong Christian Council in
1968 as its auxiliary organization.

Empathy: to heal wounded workers
to listen to workers
to stand with workers
to celebrate with workers
to arouse public concern for workers
Empowerment: to educate workers about their rights
to equip workers with health and safety knowledge
to strengthen workers to help other workers
Evil-fighting: to fight against exploitation of workers by transnational corporations
to review the injustice of economic globalization
to struggle for a dignified working environment
to seek compensation for industrial injuries
