March 1 1985 A/Vorld Day of Prayer. The Theme for this year was ^Peace through Prayer and
Action". Chinese and English Services were held separately.
March 2 6 religious groups held their Chinese New Year gathering.
March 3 The Good Shepherd Church (SKH) gave a donation of $300,000 to HKCC for setting
up a "Civil Education Fund".
March 11 A group of clergy and ministers began the BEM study.
March 13 — 16 14 Hong Kong Christians were invited to visit the recent economic development in
Guangdong province.
March 17 — 18 The China. Christian Delegation to India visited church in Hong Kong on their return.
March 18 HKCC ExCo received the proposal from the Commission on Mission of establishing The
Committee for Christian Concern for Basic Law.
March 31 CIC,s AGM.
April A Slide presentation on Gospel to the Low-lncomed" produced by Communications
Centre was available for rental.
April 9-11 An Education Study Camp. The Theme was: "Democratization of School
Administration . The statement of 'School Administration Must Be Democratized"
was published.
April 1 1 - 1 2 North American - Hong Kong Church Consultation.
April 15 - 16 HKCC helped to organize the third Joint District Minister and Clergy Retreat. The
Theme was "Transformed by Renewal".
April 22 — May 8 HKCC staff, Mr. Philip Lam represented CCA at the Ethiopian Exthodox Church —
World Council of Churches Round Table Meeting in Addis Ababa.
April 27 A meeting for Christian D.B. Members was conductsd by Commission on Public Policy.
Local church pastors were also invited to join the function.
