April A set of slides for Easter called "Road of Suffering’’ was produced by Communications
Centre.
April 1 Christian Industrial Committee's Annual General Meeting.
April 6 & 13 The 1st two talks on "Knowing Our Hong Kong” Course II, with the theme on "The
Democratization of Political Structure’.
April 7 Communications Centre staff was invited to conduct a seminar on "The Impact of Tele-
vision on Young People" which was sponsored by the Small Group & Community
Service Project of the Caritas Social Centre-Kowloon.
April 10 Bishop K.H. Ting, the Chairperson and Mr. Han Wen Zhao, the Associated General
Secretary of China Christian Council held a press conference at HKCC to give an
introduction of the latest development of the Church in China •
April 24 - 27 A HKCC representative attended the 31st General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church
in Taiwan to convey Council’s hearty congratulations.
April 26-28 An Education Seminar on "In Search for a Theological Basis for Education in Hong
Kong” ， a joint function with the Tao Fung Shan Ecumenical Centre.
'pril 28 Ms. Elise Leung, a lawyer, was invited to a Clergy and Ministers Forum to speak on the
topic of "the Legal system and its present situation in China” .
April 29 A Unity Seminar on "Baptism, Eucharist and Ministry" Document.
May 2-10 2 delegates were sent to participate in the Education Conference held in Okinawa,
sponsored by CCA-Education Committee.
May 5 2nd meeting for Christian District Board Members.
May 17 — June 1 HKCC helped CCA Youth Committee organize the "Asian Ecumenical Youth Leaders'
Visitation’’ which covered churches in Nanjing, Shanghai, Fuzhou and Guangzhou.
June 1 Consultation on the "Manifesto on Religious Freedom” with local clergy.
June 4-10 10th Senior Students Personal Development Retreat. A reunion was held to mark the
10th anniversary of the programme.
June 7 The Colloquium for Religious Leaders was held at HKCC office.
