20. A Word of thanks
Above everything else we have to thank God for the work done and
for increasing strength to cope with the increasing work, 'for apart
from me you can do nothing'.
We have to thank the churches in their co-operation in many diverse
manners in this ecumenical movement. We would like to express our
sincere thanks to all those helpers, ordained ministers and lay men
and women, for their share in the building up of this work which was
a vital link of this fabric. We would wish to record our gratitude
to the Chinese Churches Union, and the European YMCA for the use of
their Committee Rooms for our regular Executive Committee meetings.
Equal gratitude is given to the United Presbyterian Church in the USA
for its gift of $4,291,87 for the expenses of the Industrial Committee,
and to the London Missionary Society for its gift of $1,200 for the
Council’s work.
