HONG KONG CHRISTIAN COUNCIL
Report of the Executive Committee for the year
1960 - 1961
Once again, with few resources, we have been taking a long stride
than the year 1959. We have the firm conviction that 'we are not
alone, for the Father is with us'. Not only in the field of ecumenical
activity did we achieve some success but also in concerted action with
society against evil — against the footabll pools, against the licensing
of bars — did we leave a memorable page in the history of Hongkong.
During the period we have had more members and constituted more sub-
committees to deal with the various phases of development. We spon-
sored two international conferences, lectures and discussion groups.
Even though we have not been able to secure the Christian Cemetery,
which was an object of the Christian Council, yet we are not to much
affected without it.
