I. Special Sundays
Every year the Council promotes "Special Sundays" among churches as follows:
(a) To promote global unity through witness and prayer
Christian Unity Sunday, World Day of Prayer and World Communion Sunday
(b) To promote Christian concern about special issues
Social Concern Sunday, Christian Family Sunday, Asia Sunday, Communications Sunday, Hong
Kong Sunday and Education Sunday
(c) Others
Women's Sunday, Labor Sunday, Sea Sunday, Elderly Sunday, Health Sunday, Youth Sunday and
Bible Sunday
2. Publications
The Council has two major publications for discussion and response to issues related to church and
society. They are "News & Views" in English and "Message" in Chinese.
Rev. Dr. Lam Tak-ho is the Chairperson of the “Message” Editorial Committee. The themes during the

3. Broadcasting
Several Christian radio broadcast programs are aired on RTHK-4 & 3 during the week. They are:
Minutes That Matter, Reflections, Thought for the Week and Sunday Service. These programs are
supported by the ecumenical Christian community with the coordination/production at the Christian
Ecumenical Building at 33 Granville Road, Tsimshatsui.
