SUMMER WITH A PURPOSE (SWAP)
This programme began in 1978 and is a 5 week
programme for Form Four students. There are 12
college-student leaders, 6 from the U. S. A. and 6
from Hong Kong, and 75 students in the programme.
Students not only have the opportunity of improving
their English during the camp but they also have the
chance to grow and mature, as persons and have
opportunities to learn about the Christian faith.
Beginning from last year, two such programme?
were held concurrently.
"FAITH AND LIFE〃 SERIES
Our Education Secretary is the author of this
series of Religious Education textbooks for Form 1
to Form 5 students. The series is now in its 4th year of
publication and is being used in some 60 schools of
various denominations. English editions are in the
process of being published over the next few years.
The Chinese editions are also being revised and
improved.
SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES
Council staff were frequently invited to speak at
school assemblies. Topics assigned included "1977";
male/female relationships; social concerns; world
hunger; and the work of the Council.
