1 A Commission on Justice and Peace of the Roman Catholic Church has come into being. Members and staff of
that Commission have been appointed by Bishop John Baptist Wu. It is the understanding that HKCC will do
likewise in the nearest future.

2. Membership of this Committee will be expanded to 14 after the summer.

3. In February, 1978, a 32-page booklet on Social Progress and Economic Development was published. This was
the result of a seminar held on 27th November, 1976.

4. The major thrust of the year’work was centred around the Green Paper on “Senior Secondary and Tertiary
Education”, especially on the section about Adult Education.
5. During the Year the Committee lost three members: Mr. Louis Tong, Rev. William Tung and Rev. Paul Webb.
