v. Administration of the Prayer Room at the Hong Kong
International Airport
The Airport Authority has established two Prayer Rooms in
the Airport and invited the Six Religions to manage them. Rev.
Dr. Chan Kim-kwong has liaised with the Airport Authority on
behalf of the Six Religions, organized voluntary chaplains to be
stationed at the Prayer Room, and coordinated the voluntary
chaplains to participate in the Annual Air Disaster Exercises.
From September 2010 to August 2011, every month there are
an average of 3 to 4 voluntary chaplains attending the Prayer
Chinese New Year gathering
Room at the Airport to offer blessings and spiritual support to
passengers and staffs of all faiths. Over 2,000 persons were
bi-annual meeting in 2011 was held on June 2, 2011 at the contacted during this period of time.
