Epilogue

to see new things happen every day. It is not easy at all to
keep up with the pace of our time, not to mention that
the church needs to lead the world, to be prophet of our
era. Facing the coming of a new century, the Church today
needs to have higher sensitivity to feel the pulse of the
people in our particular era, their needs, their situations
and their problems. This enables the Church to respond to
God’s calling, to take up the new mission and to be
prophet as well as servant of our time in the new century.
In the past year, the Council worked very hard searching
for a new successor to be the General Secretary. As a
matter of fact, God has already arranged in our midst
someone who has been working closely with our Council
as partner. Rev. Eric SO. not only a member of our
Executive Committee and Chairperson of the "Message"
Editorial Committee, is also a senior minister of HKCCCC
and publisher of CCLC. We are very happy that Rev. SO is
willing to accept the position. We thank God for His
arrangement and guidance. Rev. SO will start his service as
