The future of Hong Kong has always been of
great concern to the HKCC and its staff. From a

try our best to encourage Christians to be more
concerned about 1997 and to be ready to speak out,
not only on their own behalf, but also on behalf of
the people of Hong Kong as a whole. In fact, staff of
the Council have been invited to speak on this topic
on numerous occasions, have helped the British
Broadcasting Corporation do a special programme on
it, and have conducted two courses for some 80
