本會宗 旨爲：
一 、增進香港衆敎會及基督敎團體間之密切團契及發展相互計劃

以加强宣敎活動。

二 、作爲敎會人士對共同關注之事物交換及調和意見之所在。
三 、倡導香港衆敎會及基督敎團體之共同使命與聯合行動。

四 、負責推行在聯合基礎上有更完美效果之計劃。
五 、 爲基督敎力量合一之象徵並繼續促進此合一 。

六 、 可供敎會或基督敎團體對於影響人民之宗敎道德政治經濟及

社會生活各事項發表意見及採取共同行動。
七 、使本港各基督敎團體與地區性及世界性之普世敎會團體保持

聯繫。

The purposes of the Hong Kong Christian Council are:
1. To develop fellowship and mutual programs among the
churches and Christian organizations to strengthen their
outreach in mission.
2. To serve as a meeting place for the exchange and
reconciliation of views on matters of common interest.
3. To prom ote joint planning and cooperative action for
mission among the churches and Christian organizations
in Hong Kong.
4. To assume responsibility for projects which can best be
carried out on joint basis.
5. To be a symbol of unity among Christian forces and to
prom ote that unity.
6. To provide a means whereby churches and Christian
organizations can speak and take common action on social
issues and on matters affecting the religious, moral,
political, economic and social life of the community.
7. To serve as a liaison between Christian organizations in
Hong Kong and regional and world ecumenical bodies.
