The sponsorship details of 2010/2011  are listed  below:
         D.  Project Torch

            This  project  aims  to  support  outstanding  students  in  poor
         mountain  areas  in  Mainland  China  to  complete their university
         education.  Sponsors do not only provide students with financial
         support,  but also maintain a friend and teacher-like  relationship
         with  their  sponsored  students.  The  cost  of  sponsoring  a
         university  student  is  HK$7,500  yearly  and  is  used  to  pay  for
         their  living  expenses  as  well  as  lodging.  Students  are  also
         encouraged  to  apply  for  university  or  government  grants  and
         subsidies to pay for their tuition fees.

        Program   H ighlights:

        a.  From April  22-25,  2011,  our working  group  members  and
        sponsors  attended  the  Kunming  Project  Torch  Celebration
        and  Sharing  Talk  2011.  Over  300  university  students  from
        Yunnan   University   of   Nationalities,   Yunnan   Normal
        University,  Yunnan  University  and  Guizhou  University  were
        present  at  the  talk  and  celebration.  The  talk  was  led  by  5
        Nanjing  graduates,  sharing their experience  in  interview and   Community Development & Cultural Exchange Program 2011
        career selection.
                                                               E.  Rural Village Development Project
        b.  From  June  10-12,  2011,  our working  group  members  and
        sponsors joined  the  Nanjing  Project Torch  Celebration  2011   i.   There  is  low  rainfall,  infertile  land,  and  serious water and  soil
        held  in  the  Nanjing  University.  Alm ost  200  sponsored   loss  in  Gansu  Province. As drought and  low rainfall would  lead
        university  students  and  graduates  from  universities  in   to  drinking  water  problems  for  humans  and  livestock,  much
        Nanjing  attended  the  celebration.
                                                               efforts is needed for development of rainwater collection works.
                                                               Storing up rainwater during the rainy season is the only effective
        c.  During  July  26  to  August  10,  2011,  8  Project  Torch   solution  to  the  water  shortage  problem  in  the  rural  area.  After
        students  from  Yunnan  University,  together  with  16  Hong   investigation,  we  believe  that  implementing  the  human  and

        Development  &  Cultural  Exchange  Program  sponsored  by   raised  funds  to  construct  200  water  cellars  in  Sang  Jia  Miao
        Youth  Affairs   Committee,   HKSAR   Government.   The   Village, Longmen Town, Lintao County, Dingxi City, costing HK$
        sponsored fund  amounted  to  HK$88,000.               400,000.
